BLUE LINE TRAFFIC LOUNGE
(Marina to Okokomaiko)
The Blue Line is an electric rapid transit line that runs in Lagos, Nigeria. It is part of the Lagos Rail Mass Transit system run by the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA)
The first phase with five stations and 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) of track opened on 4 September 2023 with the Governor of Lagos State as the first passenger to board.
The full line is set to be 27 kilometres (17 mi) and is expected to carry 500,000 passengers a day.
The Governor spoke about methods of paying to board the train and also gave details about the Lagos redline Rail project.
In this video, I will be showing my the newly completed first electric rail metro line in Lagos Nigeria, The blue line. The train travels from Marina to Mile 2 which is the completed first phase of the metro line and it is about 13 Kms. I will be showing the Marina station and all the details about what has been done on the metro line which is being operated by the Lagos Metropolitan Transport Authority (LAMATA).
LAMATA has proposed seven lines in the Lagos network; Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Purple, Brown and Orange. There are two lines under construction presently which are the blue and red lines.
The blue line is a 27.5km rail line that starts from Marina to Okokomaiko. This line will have 13 stations.
